Welcome to The Menai Bay
The Menai Bay is a Conservation Area of 465 sq kilometers established with the help of the WWF in 1997 to promote the sustainable use of natural marine resources. It has achieved much success through the involvement of local communities and private funding. It's main aims are to protect Coral Reefs and Mangrove forests, which are the natural habitats and breeding grounds of tropical fish and sea turtles. Great progress has been made, by improving fishing practices and regulating the use of wood from mangrove forests. AquaSun sail supports the efforts of the Project by donating $3 for every Guest who visits the Bay to the Menai Bay Conservation Fund. As the only yacht operator in the Bay we also help monitor remote Islands and produce a monthly report on the frequency and location of Dolphin sightings, and fish stock off Coral reefs.
