Thomas - Skipper and Company Director. Sailing instructor for 8 years - All Age Groups. Yacht Skipper for 2 years Worldwide, 2 years East Africa. Nationality French. Languages- English French and Swahili. Personality - Good Sport, Open, Energetic and Adventurous. Thomas was formerly a Software development Manager in the UK, having Graduated from the University of Centrale Lyon in France with a Masters Degree in Engineering.
Ali - Chef. Experience - 10 years in the hospitality industry in Zanzibar, Chef at some of the Top restaurants and Hotels on the Island. Nationality Zanzibari/Pemba native. Languages English and Swahili. Personality - Hard working, Charming, Positive and Hospitable. Ali was born on the Island of Pemba, and was formerly a bull fighter. In Pemba this Portuguese tradition is still practiced in a ceremonial way where the animal isn't actually killed.
Jan - Office Manager and Onshore Coordinator. 5 years in Sales and Office Management. Nationality Tanzanian. Languages - English, French, Swahili. Personality - Organised, Creative, Polite and Friendly. Jan was formerly a UK property developer. She studied Politics and Economics at the University of Kent in Canterbury. As well as managing AquaSun sail, Jan volunteers for the Bweleo Village Development Organisation.
Abdullah - Deck Hand. Sailing experience 20 years. Pro Fisherman. Nationality - Zanzibari. Languages - Swahili and basic English. Personality - Responsible, Liberal, Discrete and Cooperative. Abdullah was the most revered traditional ngoma (or drum) Dancer in the region and won many competitions as a teenager. On occasion he can be convinced to give a small demonstration of his skills.
